Umina Beach
Umina Beach provides safe waves for the whole family as it faces south & over the mouth of the Hawkesbury, it is well protected from strong seas.
The southern end of the beach, known as kiddies corner, is quite shallow & protected by the headland. The wide beach is ideal for young families & those just wanting to unwind without the hustle & bustle of Sydney's beaches.
Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach also provides safe waves for the whole family as well as the opening to Brisbane Waters at the northern end.
The northern end of the beach is a favorite amongst kiteboarders & fisherman alike, with excellent fishing to be had where the sea meets the mouth of Brisbane Waters.
Ettalong Foreshore
Ettalong foreshore overlooks the entrance to Brisbane Waters to Pretty Beach & Hardys Bay with convenient public access all the way round to the ferry wharf.
It's great for an afternoon's fishing, with the sun going down on your back & the deep sandy bottom ensures a snag-free afternoon watching the passing boats & hopefully reeling a few fish in.
Patonga
Patonga is a great little fishing village still used safe as a mooring for a number of trawlers with shallow waters for the kids.
Patonga Creek offers great canoeing and paddling around for the family with accommodation available in the Patonga Hotel as well as plenty of room at the caravan & camping grounds.
Pearl Beach
Pearl Beach is a safe beach for the kids to splash around in with great views to Lion Island to Barrenjoy & Palm Beach and backs on to lush bush surrounds with a number of waterfalls.
With a number of exclusive holiday homes available through the summer months, Pearl Beach is a great hidden little town to relax & unwind in.
